Adding the Current Date to Order forms - 7.0.1+

To put a field on your Order form containing the current date, you can do the following:

Open your Order form within the Order form editor
Click on the “T” to create a text box
Click and drag a field on the form where you would like it to be
Double click it and In the “Name” field enter the word “Today
Select “Variable” from the Text Source Pop up
Click OK

Make sure the new field is selected
Then, From the Database Menu
Select Scripts>Start Script
In the space Provided enter one of the following:

C_TEXT(Today)
Today:=String(Current date(*);5)

 The date will show as January 1, 2016

 

OR Enter

C_TEXT(Today)
Today:=String(Current date(*);4)

The date will show as 1/1/2016


Be sure to Save the changes you have made.
