How to check for a corrupt Windows File

Below is a process that you can run to see if there may be a corrupt Windows file on your system:

On the problem machine, please run command window with elevated privileges.

Start>Type CMD>Press SHIFT+CTRL+ENTER (or right click on cmd and select Run as Admin)
Then type "SFC /SCANNOW" (without quotes) - this will check for corrupt Windows files."
