If you are running a promotion where a percentage of the order will be donated to charity follow the steps below.
What you will need to do is put on a 10% discount on the order itself.
Total Sale is: $100.00
Discount is: $10.00
Client pays you: $100.00
You enter into SuccessWare a payment of $100.00, $-10.00 will be the balance on the order, you will do a refund of $10.00
The money that is refunded could be put in as a Check with the Payee being the Charity.
Then, you will print all checks from SuccessWare and hand them to the Charity.
Each order will reflect that the client actually paid the donation, you simply cut the check for them.
This way each Order is reflected properly and the payments are made to the Charity from the client Order. If any audit is done, you will have accurate records to show what transpired on each order.
